The significance of new logo
Against the auspicious bright red background is an inverted Chinese character for Spring (“春”) which signifies that “Spring has descended and arrived” as the word for “arrive” and “invert” sounds alike in Chinese. The Chinese character for Spring (“春”) is stylized and shaped like a graceful dancer who extends her hands to embrace and welcome the arrival of Spring. She started dancing joyously to celebrate the Spring Festival. At the very bottom is a stroke of wavy blue line which symbolises the waves. The other two Chinese characters “河畔” means “riverside“ is traditionally part of the event name in Chinese. It is set against a bright green background which denotes the greenery that comes with Spring. This beautiful and lively new logo is brimming with the hopes of Spring.
